Michael Steinberg

     Michael Steinberg received his B.A from the University of Rochester and  his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.

     During a fourteen year legal career, he represented financial and business authors, placing numerous books with major publishers.  His interest in investing and finance led to a career change in 1985. He practiced as a financial consultant for over 31 years, the last twenty with LaSalle St. Securities, LLC. for whom he also performed compliance audits.  His securities licensing included series 4 (options Principal),  series 7  (Registered Representative ),  series 24 (Registered Principal).

    He has written the New York Institute of Finance Guide to Investing 3rd ed. (Prentice Hall)  and has taught securities training courses for the series 6, 7, and 65.

      Mr. Steinberg remains actively licensed as an attorney before the Supreme Court of the State of Illinois.  He serves as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County (municipal and commercial law divisions) and for FINRA  (Financial Industry National Regulatory Authority) and its predecessor NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers).  Since 1990, he has  been empaneled on over 400 cases, often as chairperson.
